Numbers matching and a true 138 car, L34, 396 CI 360 hp engine, M-20 Muncie 4 speed transmission with 12 bolt posi, 355 gears.
This rust free southern Super Sport has recently undergone a professional full nut and bolt restoration. After complete disassembly, the Chevelle was reassembled with no expense being spared and attention to detail is evident throughout.
While the original 396 motor with 360 hp, the Muncie 4 speed and 12 bolt posi rear end were being rebuilt to better than new specifications, the complete chassis system received the same treatment as well with fuel, brakes, steering and suspension systems either being completely rebuilt or replaced.
In the time that the drive train was getting it's VIP treatment, the rust free body was being massaged to lazer straight perfection and the original color of Tropic Turquoise was flawlessly applied over the body. Reassembly then started with attention to detail in every part of the car. The body lines are absolutely flawless. Gaps in hood and door openings are correct in every way.
Now that the body and suspension are in better than new condition, the time was right to give the interior of the Super Sport the same treatment. The original Turquoise interior was upgraded to black. In addition, the original AM radio was replaced with a reproduction AM/FM radio and the bench seat was replaced with NOS bucket seats and a center console. With the original color of Tropic Turquoise applied and the new black interior, this is one Super Sport that makes a huge statement and looks stunning. The original AM radio and bench seat will go with the car to the new owner.
When you open the hood of this fabulous car, you will see a highly detailed engine compartment with the freshly rebuilt 396, 360 hp wearing all of the properly coded hoses and spark plug wires. Now open the door and you will see the great interior that is better than new with crystal clear gauges and the famous knee knocker tach. When you view the inside of the trunk and the underside of the car, you will see the same attention to detail as the rest of the car. The fit and finish of this Super Sport definitely surpasses the definition of lazer straight and perfection.
This car is new bumper to bumper and has less than 3,000 trouble free miles since the build.
The 66 Chevelle SuperSport is and always will be a desirable collectible muscle car and remains to this day a heavy hitter in the market place.
