1965 Chevrolet Corvair Additional Info:

Spring is weeks away, however you wouldn't know it based on the winter setting illustrated herein featuring this second generation 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible. Fret not. Come the first weeks of April, the convertible tops will start to come down, and of course the prices will go up.
Acquired as an unfinished restoration, its owner having lostinterest a number of years ago, and storing it in his warehouse, Clark'sCorvair Parts in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts became very familiar with my presence acquiring a multitude of new replacement parts, which had been lost or misplaced by its former owner to complete the car.Much of the "heavy lifting" had been previously completed, inclusive of body work and refinishing to its original color of Ermine White, new seat upholstery, new door and rear interior upholstery panels, new carpet, new convertible top with a crystal clear rear window, pushrod seals, and brakes.
Completion entailed flushing the fuel tank, new fuel and air filters, new NGK spark plugs, ignition points and rotor, all oil replaced (synthetic), new electric fuel pump, brake fluid flush, radiator flush....(just kidding), four new BF Goodrich 205/70/14 RWL radial tires, new door and A pillar weatherstrips, new speedomter cable, suspension lubrication, carburetor refurbishments (2) and a myriad of other parts, servicing andadjustments. Its paint was buffed and waxed. Waiting to be completed are the window "fuzzies" which are coming from Clark's Corvair parts and will be clipped inprior todelivery to the new buyer. Additionally, there is no radio, however a new aerial has been installed and speakers will need to be installed, a very simple procedure due togreat under dashaccess.
What is represented herein is a delightful driver quality car, certainly not perfect or concourse, but respectable in its own right, garnering a lot of "thumbs up" when driven. The Convertible body is very solid with solid original floors, front trunk, suspension, and rockers panels Some very minor surface rust is apparent at the body pinch weldsbelow the rocker panels, and some small previous metal repairs have been nicely done to the right and left front lower front fender to valance intersections as well as small sections of therocker panels . All the glass is in excellent condition and the windows all operate nicely. The 14 inch alloy wheels illustrate some corrosion, mainly at the center hub area, but are very respectable overall.
Refinished in a single stage Ermine White, the Monza's Convertibles original color, the paint shows nicely and can be best rated as a 7 to 8 out of 10. It polishes up very nicely.
In conclusion, this is a very fun car to drive. Its engine does not smoke or have any unusual noises. Itsspeedometer and odometer function, however appears to run slower than what your actual speed is. Thismay bethe result of having been inactive for a number of years and may correct itself after accruing some miles.
Finally, the Corvair MonzaConvertible will be sold as is, where is,with no warranty expressed or implied. I encourage personal inspection or by a qualified representative of your choosing. Inspection, as a condition of sale after the sale endwill not bepermitted. Kindly do you due diligence beforehand.
