1988 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 3500 Silverado Additional Info:

I am reluctantly selling my 1988 Chevy Chevy R30 single rear wheel truck. I have been its caretaker since early Summer 2016 and has been my daily driver since. Its in the near perfect condition that I purchased it except I added a Gear Vendor Overdrive unit to make it more enjoyable to tow and drive at highway speeds.
Also in the last 5000 miles I have added new shocks, pinon seal, oil pan gasket, wiper motor, oil cooler hose, window motor, alternator, battery and a few other odds and ends. I looked a long time to find such a nice truck and planned on never selling but some unexpected household expenses have come up so its your turn to enjoy it. On 3-17-2017 I also just paid for an expensive professional detail.

If you are looking for a cheap truck to work on and fix up this is not your truck. If you are looking for a perfectly restored or showroom condition truck this is not it either. If you are seeking one of the nicest trucks you will find that can still be used as a driver and tow vehicle you have a winner.
On top of being a sweet looking Chevy 3 + 3 crew cab the great thing about this truck is its going up in value. If you get the urge for something else in 5 years as long as you take care of it you will get all your money back and possibly more. Buy a new $55,000 truck and see what its worth in 5 years.
The condition overall is near excellent.
Rust- absolutely none anywhere
Paint- The tan is what GM sprayed at the factory. No signs of any body or paint repairs ever. Still in very good condition with minor chips and scratched to be expected for a 30 year old truck. The two tone and pin stripes was added on at one time and matched the truck well.
Body- body is very nice with only a few dings. Most are small enough it would be hard to show in pictures. Someone did have the big wide tow mirrors on it at one time and the holes for the mounting hardware is still there.
Interior- Very nice unmolested original interior. Das, door panels, headliner, and rear seat close to showroom new. Front seat has a minor crack tear on the driver side the rest is near perfect. The carpet has a little wear but no where near in need of replacement. All power windows, locks, dash function ect. Work as designed. Cold A/C.
Drivetrain- 4.10 gears and TH400 with a gear vendors overdrive work in perfect harmony. I have used with my car hauler several times and even towing apox 10,000 once I was able to comfortably cruise at 70 -75MPH in overdrive only having to click out of it on the steepest hills. When I installed the Gear Vendors I also installed a new Hughes XTM series towing torque converter.
Engine-I don't know how long ago but at one time the 7.4 454 engine was rebuilt and when they did they tossed the factory peanut port heads and installed a set of Dart Merlin Oval port heads and edelbrock TBI intake manifold. The engines pulls like a freight train and does not miss a lick. The rest of the engine seems to be stock including the TBI fuel injection system that lets it start right up hot or cold.
Feel confident if you are out of town you could fly in and drive anywhere. If you are close you are welcome to contact me to come look at it. Call with any questions before you bid. Richard 214- seven nine three OO29.
There is a clear Texas title in my name. I will be filling out the back of the title so will not sell with open title. I also will not release with any plates. If you need to drive home and are out of town you will need to get a temporary tag until you get it home to register it.
