1975 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible 2-Door Additional Info:

Hey guys, finally letting go of my 1975 Chevy Corvette Convertible!

I got her about 3 years ago, but due to living in L.A, had to get a 4-seater for work so she hasn't been driven at all during that entire time minus about 2 months.

Was an absolutely joy driving her around though, definitely a head-turner even among the myriad of exotic cars around Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Hills.

Just finally got round to getting her to the mechanic's for all the fluid flushing she needed after sitting idle and a new carburetor. Clean title.

Has 49k actual miles on her as previous owner kept her as a garage queen as well. Here's more details about her:

The Good:

  • Low mileage car - 49,235 actual miles. ~1200 miles per year on an almost 40 year old car.
  • Lightly used tires - 235/60/15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As on front and 255/60/15s on back. Classic white lettering. Used only for 2 months.
  • 1975 car requires no smog checks in California.
  • True dual exhaust system.
  • Soft top with no rips, folds neatly into back for quick up and down when the mood strikes or weather is appropriate.
  • Great paint (a few spots touched-up, and a 4" chip on the nose)
  • All dials and gauges except clock are functional (new circuit board just installed, so shouldn't be giving you any issues). Tach and speedo are working as well.
  • All lights (brake, head, reverse, etc) are perfectly functional, no delay on the headlight vacuum system either as a new vacuum relay was just installed. Although, left front light has been acting up recently after reviving her.
  • Rear speaker sound system and modern stereo face plate installed (with AUX cable for any iPhone/iPod or music player)
  • New A/C system was installed 2 years ago - condenser, hosing, etc. with R134a refrigerant, honestly does not blow ice cold, but it definitely helps in the summer. Not blowing cold right now, but might just be in need of new refrigerant to start her up again.
  • Also throwing in a custom fitted Covercraft "Reflectech" car cover. Light-weight and small, great protection for L.A dust and sun. Has slight rips near the antenna and back bumper portion.

The Bad:

  • Passenger seat is missing its recline button.
  • There is a grinding noise occasionally when shifting gears too quickly - mechanic just inspected it and says it's fixable as the mechanical starter is out of place and rubbing on something occasionally.
  • Slight gap present in hood alignment on driver's side. Not exaggerated, but it's just not 100% flush like the other side.
  • Passenger side door doesn't unlock via the key from the exterior, but works from the interior. Should be a simple fix, but I haven't been able to figure it out for now.
  • Probably will need new bushings in a year or so, as the originals are still on the car. No signs of cracking to them as of yet, though. (Precautionary maintenance)
  • Gear needs to be shifted backwards slightly (close to 'R') when starting the car.
  • Rearview mirror has rust.
  • Back window is slightly foggy.
  • Bass in stereo system is muddy at high volumes, but should be an easy fix for anybody with audio knowledge or at a car audio shop.

The Neutral:

  • Remote key-less entry and alarm are installed, but I had them disabled as it was going off unexpectedly.
  • 2 sets of ignition keys.
  • Automatic - great for L.A traffic especially, but it's a personal preference of course

Looking for $16,000 or Best Offer for an extremely low-mileage classic - if you'd like me to check anything on her and send you the details please let me know, I've tried to include every single detail I could think of to be as transparent and upfront about the vehicle as I could so that you know what you're bidding on - I wish I knew more about the car, but honestly I didn't get to spend too much time using her so I'm not 100% in terms of specifications or quirks.
