1977 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 Scottsdale Camper Special Additional Info:

This is my 1977 Chevy K20 truck that I've had for the past 7 years. It had 13,709 miles when I bought it and now has 13,718. It is a Scottsdale Camper Special with the 400 small block and 350 automatic transmission. All numbers matching. It was built to be a workhorse and came from the factory with no ac and was and still is a radio delete truck. I purchased it from the original owner, The Cottageville Volunteer Fire Department, Cottageville West Virginia. I bought it from the fire department after they retired it in 2010. The truck body and frame were rust free. The truck ran and drove like new. After I bought it, it just went into my garage where it was stored since. The truck has been stored in a heated garage its entire life. 9 months ago it came out of storage and it underwent a total restoration. If you have ever looked at the nasty paint and body work these trucks came from the factory with you can understand why we did this The cab and bed came off the frame and were media blasted to bare metal. The frame was not bothered since it was so nice as is. While the engine ran like new it had a lot of oil leaks from just sitting. The engine came out and was completely torn down. Since it was torn down it got rod and main bearings, rings, high output oil pump, fuel pump, hoses, belts, water pump. all new gaskets and I couldn't resist a mild street cam.{still have the original cam and it will go with the truck} The quadrajet carb was rebuilt. The transmission was resealed, filter replaced and flushed. Brake master cylinder was rebuilt and the system flushed. All fluids were drained and new fluid refill. This is a dual fuel tank truck and both tanks were removed and flushed and both work as they should. I replaced the 750-16 bias ply mud tires with 235-8516 Firestone Transforce AT 10 ply tires. I still have the 750-16's and they go with the truck if you want them. The interior was and is excellent. We added new carpet. The paint is Crimson Red and beautiful. The body is now straighter than anything GM ever put out in the 70's. The suspension is tight and as new. We had to replace the original radiator because one of my guys accidentally damaged the original. The rear bumper is new. All new weatherstripping, fender moldings, drip rails, door sill plates, hood insulation, transmission mounts, detent cable, There's not much that hasn't been touched on the truck. The only thing we didn't address is the bed floor as you can see in the pictures it still has dents. Otherwise Better than new. It runs and drives like a dream. A gentleman that has a classic car museum here offered to take it to the Barrett Jackson sale in Palm Beach Fla. in April, transport it for free and rep it for me and if it doesn't sell here I may do that. Look at all the videos and slide shows below. I may consider other classic trades. I encourage you to come look at the truck or send in an independant inspector before bidding but either way you won't be disappointed..
