1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 convertible Additional Info:

You are bidding on a very clean 1968 Chevelle SS 396 convertible with 46000 original miles. I recently acquired this car from a friend that was moving away and had to get rid of it. I am a true Mopar guy and have no desire to own a chevy. The car drives and runs beautifully and is actually very nice to drive. Please ask all the questions you want. I have a clean title and will deliver the car for a fare fee. All i can see the car needs is a new wiper knob and the radio to be fixed. Someone put the radio antenna on the back of the car. Why?? I have no idea.
Good Luck!

UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!! I just finished listening to my messages on the car and going over all the questions on Ebay.....This SS was built in Canada..........According to the experts on vin de coding, by 1968 Canada went to the US system using 138.........vin coding.....to denote a super sport Malibu Earlier years Malibu super sports did use the 136 vin when US was using only 138 vins on Chevelle Super Sport models. this can be confirmed by contacting the Canadian DMV. This car has been known for a long time and Is real. I am trying to get confirmation on these details now. I have learned this myself today by getting contacted by a few collectors. In some eyes this would make the car valuable and very rare. The color of the car is actually a YY code which is yellow. One great thing is that gm of Canada kept records of their cars built there and you can contact them to see if it actually was a Super Sport, which would make it a pretty rare car. I will try and have the document posted by tomorrow evening.

Final update!!!
This car was originally a Malibu from the factory. YES.... It is a clone. The car runs amazing and smooth. literally not a single squeak and drives flawlessly. Good luck!!
