1979 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:

I am selling a very unusual 1979 Corvette! It is an original un-restored Survivor with 75,000 actual miles! The miles are certified as originalon the title. This car has been very well kept! Based on what I have seen of other similar Corvettes, his would in my opinion easily pass for half the miles! I am the 3rd owner of this car! Engine numbers match, nd is very nice original under hood and underneath. Original black leather interior is excellent with no rips or tears. Even has original Corvette accessory floor mats from the factory! Paint finish is glossy and even, ot faded or "washed out" looking like many older cars (Corvettes especially) get. Like any older used car, f course there are some minor nicks and imperfections. Car gets a lot of compliments and attention.
What makes this car so unusual is how the original owner ordered it! By the late 1970's Corvettes had deviated from their sports car roots to largely become "disco-machines", oaded up with all the creature comforts of a Cadillac. Base engines were "ho-hum", nd suspensions had gotten soft.
This original owner was a true sports car enthusiast and ordered his Corvette that way! He specified the powerful L-82 high performance 350 V8 with 225net horsepower, lose ratio 4 speed, nd Gymkhana sport and handling suspension package. Also specified were polished aluminum wheels, ilt/telescoping steering wheel, nd AM/FM/ 8 track. Then, e proceeded to delete all the "creature comforts". NO A/C, ower windows, ower locks, r cruise control etc. I have the window sticker which shows all this. Very few Corvettes were ordered this way. In fact, t has been tentatively determined with the information that could be found, hat this was possibly the only 1979 Corvette ordered this exact way!
This Corvette is a blast to drive! Runs, rives, nd handles great! Engine and transmission are strong and smooth. No issues I am aware of. Everything works on the car except the electric clock, hich probably quit when car was a couple months old! I recently drove on a 250 mile trip with no issues. Would not be afraid to drive it anywhere! Car is clean and dry underneath. Undercarriage is also clean, ot rusty or scaly.
