1966 Chevrolet Other Additional Info:

Up for sale I have a 66 Caprice 2dr, It has a rebuilt BBC 396 with a TH400 transmission. I acquired the car a few years ago it was partially apart. I put everything back together and got her to drive. Here are all the things you need; you need paint, the body is in good condition on the rear lower quarter panel it was replace and will need some body filler to get it straight. It needs a rear bumper, the previous owner said he had it but didn't know where, so if he finds it before the auction ends I will include it, but for now no bumper. The car is an AC car however I don't have the pump, hoses and the blower unit, it does come with an extra box with the heater core in case you don't want AC, but you still will need the blower unit and the components in the engine compartment. The carburetor floods when you first start up, so I just tap the float a couple of times and it starts right up and runs fine. It will need tires they hold air and are good to load and unload. I found the bottom trim for the rear window (it is not pictured) also the wiper motor is not pictured but have that too. I also have the hood trim. I was originally going to put a power steering gear box, but needed the pittman arm (need a larger one then the original), so I decided to leave it alone I will include the steering box and the power steering pump which is attached to the engine. It also needs the weatherstripping, I am sure there is a few little things it may need, since it is a project and it is AS IS, WHERE IS.Now for the good stuff here is what I did to the car; I put a new floor pan under the rear seat the passenger side had a rust spot, but since the panel expands the width of the car I changed it. On the trunk passenger side was rusty so I put a new one in, you can tell by the before picture I sanded the existing trunk panels, treated, primed and painted. Has new headersand new exhaust I didn't go all the way to the back. New drum brakes on all 4's, with rebuilt wheel cylinders also has power brakes with a new master cylinder. The transmission pan has a hole in it but I ordered a new one and will replace that in a few days. It has a new headliner and carpet, the seats are in good condition no rips, brand new custom ABS quarter trim panels with brush aluminum insert. I am working on the door panels they will match the quarter trims with the insert they will be done in a few days. Cleaned and painted the gas tank with new straps, sending unit and float. This is a very nice car all the hard stuff is done, this car finished can easily can be worth in the 20's let me know if you have any questions, I tried to list everything but I probably forgot some stuff. Thank you for looking. Has a low reserve price!
