1971 Chevrolet Corvette Base Coupe 2-Door Additional Info:

Up for bid is a fully restored 1971 Chevrolet Corvette LS5 454 cubic inch 365 HP 4 Speed with 85,500original documented milesthat is being sold with NO RESERVE! Power steering, power locks, power windows, power brakes,am/fm, air conditioning, tilt and telescoping steering column, Brands hatch green, deluxe saddleinterior. Was purchasedin 2010 from the second owner that owned it since 1975. Was always garaged and never driven in the salt or snow.Has been in northern Indiana its entire life, but has no rust anywhere. The frameis100 percent rust free. The rocker channels on the body where it sits on the frame is very clean.I have every receipt for anything done to the car from 1977 to now. Included in the pictures are any receipts from any work or anything purchased for the car from 1977 until 2010 when we purchased the car. Not included in the pictures are all the receipts from the restoration. I do not have the tank sticker. One month before we purchased the car the fuel tank was replaced. They threw the tank sticker away because they couldn't read any writing. This is the born with numbers matching 454 and 4 speed transmission. They are not re-stamped they are the exact engine and transmission that came with the car when it was new. The engine was fully disassembled cleaned, bored, and re assembled. New pistons and rods were put on the factory crank and all balanced. We reused the factory cam and lifters because they were in great shape. The current carburetor on the car is a rebuilt non original quadrajet. The original carburetor will come with the car but it will need some work, it is stripped where the fuel line goes in. Has all original glass, the windshield has some bubbles near the bottom on the drivers side. The frame was 100 percent disassembled, sand blasted, andpowder coated.Front suspension was rebuilt with new bushings, ball joints, springs, and shocks. The rear suspension was also rebuilt includingsending the trailing arms out and having them rebuilt. The interior is actually all original from 1971 except forthe carpet, itis new. The door panels have holes where speakers were but they were in too good of shape to replace with aftermarket. You can see the small cracks in the arm rests of the door panels in the pictures. The seats are original 1971 deluxe saddle leather seats that have never been recovered, they are in very good shape. The dash has a small crack on the passenger side see picture. The body is very nice. Hours of body work to make the door lines line up better than from the factory. Painted with Dupont paint and Dupont clear then hours of wet sanding and buffing. Paint has some small cracks on the frontfenders from the body being off of the frame during restoration. All bumpers are original and have not been re-chromed. The chrome bezels in the hood are aftermarket and don't fit good. I have the original bezels that fit great they just have a little pitting in the chrome. Our family is not new to these corvettes we've done many of these cars. For example just look up Terry and/or Julie Pennington on google and check out their record settingL88corvettes in the Factory Stock and FAST racing series. The plan with this carwas to build it to run in the FAST series but it was justtoo nice and original tomake a race car out of. I can send more pictures over email of the car during the restoration. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Please do no bid if you are not serious about buying. If you have any questions please send a message. Thank You
