For sale is a 1994 Chevy Suburban with the 6.5 Diesel V8 and automatic transmission with four wheel drive.
This vehicle runs and drives great, has lots of power, and gets good fuel mileage. (I've been getting around 17-18 MPG). Has two new cylinder heads and head gaskets. The tires are in almost new condition with only about 9,000 thousand miles on them.
New Glow plugs New fuel injectors Rebuilt Turbo Power windows (all of them work) Power door locks Body and paint is in great shape with the exception of a small scrape and dent on rear door. Relocated PMD on heat sink. The PMD is an electronic device that controls the operation of the injectors. The factory location was right on top of the engine, in the valley between the heads, and therefore it would get really hot, and would fail, and is the number one cause of problems with the 6.5 diesel engine. So it has now been replaced, and attached to a heat sink behind the front bumper so that it will not get hot and fail like the factory one did.
Has nice Pioneer stereo with Bluetooth and hands free. Leather power seats Rear heat This Diesel Suburban has been well maintained mechanically, and mechanic owned. Really nice for being over 20 years old. This has been a daily driver for the past couple years. Has only minor issues, like a tear as seen in the drivers seat, and the left passenger door doesn't like to lock at the moment. Most likely needs some lube on the mechanism inside the door.
It has a new Air Conditioning compressor, and new A/C accumulator, but the A/C does not work. There is some sensor or something that only intermittently activates the clutch on the A/C compressor. I don't know why. I would imagine it should be a fairly easy fix once the problem is tracked down.
Not interested in any trades. Sorry. Very reliable, and great towing vehicle. Located in Pleasant Valley on the west side of Colorado Springs. I recently moved here from Oregon, so it still has Oregon plates and an Oregon title, but the title is in my name and it is free and clear.
