I purchaced this car from a Corvair collector one year ago. I was searching for one that was original as possible. This one came with the original bias ply tires and plenty of documentation. I still have the bias ply tires on the original rims stored. I didn't want to drive on 60 year old tires. This is a true collector car. Since then I have replaced the torn front seat cover with original fabric. Carb rebuilds done. Complete tune up. All fluids replaced. Speedo cable changed because it was noisy. And a lot of little things. This summer I put 200 total miles on it during good weather. The pictures speak volumes. Study them then decide.

This is why I'm selling it. About 8 months ago my business partner killed himself. I discovered he embezzled from my company for years previously. So now I'm trying to save the company and all toys must go. If it weren't for this I would keep this car and finish restoring it.

Now to give the details you can't see in the pictures because from 5 feet away she looks pretty darn perfect. The exterior has had one repaint to original color. Probably due to sun weathering. I can't find any filler on the body. There are some very minor stone chips hear and there. The chrome is really good accept for the right font body mounding has a ding that you can see in the pictures. Front seat is newly recovered. Rear seat has minor dry rot but is presentable. Some minor underbody surface rust but nothing is week. Glass is good. Front windshield has one stone ding but no cracks. It has the typical valve tube oil leak. An easy fix. The odometer is perfect and accurate. The speedometer is very inaccurate but works. Turn signal switch seems to be a little sticky but also works fine. I have never tested the gas heater because it's not driven in winter. In short, My next project was going to be restoring the door panels from sun failing, the rear seat cover from dry rot, have the speedo rebuilt, the valve tube oil seals, new window fuzzys, and replace the badly yellowed headliner. It's perfectly drivable and shows very good. I was shooting for perfect and restored.

I have put every detail I know and probably made it sound like it needs more than it does. I want the buyer happy at the end... I paid $6000 One year ago. The car is worth that and more...
