1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 210 Additional Info:

1957 Chevrolet 210 Hardtop "In-Bomber", 1968 NHRA "Indy" Nationals H/Stock Class Champion. This rare 210 Hardtop was raced by the Patrick Brothers of Omaha, Nebraska between 1966-1970. Among many wins at dragstrips throughout the midwest, the car competed in the 1968 & 1969 NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, California, 1969 NHRA Springnationals in Dallas, Texas, and the 1968 & 1969 NHRA Nationals at Indy. The car was the H/Stock Class Championand Stock Eliminator Semi-Finalist at the '68 Nationals. There are many record holders out there but few National winners! The car was raced with a Rochester injected 283 (the name "In-Bomber" being a play on words for "Embalmer", acknowledging the fact that car was also injected) and lastly ran with dual quads. This was a team car along with Fred Anderson's "Good In-Tension" '57 Bel Air Hardtop and Don Stephenson's "Tension" '57 210 Sedan, both of which are also still in existence.

The car was fully restored to "as raced" with nearly $100,000 spent. All steel, original body panels, original chrome and stainless, one piece "California" frame, 4:56 posi "P-Case" rear with Tension Team ladder bars, original chrome reverse wheels with NOS Firestone Drag front runners and M/T slicks. Fully restored interior with original Grant steering wheel and SW gauges. Stunning paint job with hand painted lettering and gold leaf, many rare original stickers... TOO MUCH TO LIST!...

Engine is a stroked and bored 283 with very rare Modello heads, dual quads, solid lifter cam, 11:1 CR, and Stahl headers from the "Good In-Tension" car. Again, too much to list!A lot of rare vintage parts went into the engine and it produced over 400hp on the dyno. Runs and sounds fantastic on pump gas. Transmission is a Borg Warner Super T10 4spd with Hurst shifter.

As far as we know this is the only restored National winning '57 Chevy stocker from the golden age of drag racing in existence. A true piece of drag racing history! Car can be shown, raced, or even driven on the street if desired. Fully documented through historic and restoration photos with all known history recorded. Clear Iowa title.
