1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Additional Info:

This 81 camaro z/28 has been updated with a 2003 5.3 ls motor. The car run's as it should starts up great and has no issues with overheating. We just replaced the waterpump due to a noise from the bearing and we used a corvette style pump to fit the conversion. There is a stand alone harness system in the car and is for the motor only. The transmission is a turbo 350 and is non electronic so the computer is not needed to run it. The car was started by someone other then myself but I have been through the car and fixed the issues they left behind. One of them being that they cut out the a/c box and removed the system and did nothing to at least put heat back so I purchased a a/c delete box and put it in the car and replaced the blower motor so it will now have heat and defrost so the car can be used. I also repalce some front ends parts such as idler arm and tie rod end to get the car to steer correct and not wear out the new tires. The braes are in working order and stop the car properly. When I purchased the car the previuos owne rhad just installed a new positraction unit with a brand new set of 373 gears. The interior is repsectable a little wear on the seats and carpet but in no way torn to shreds on the other side it is not in show shape either but a good driver condition. The body is the same as the interior good driver shape. The paint is faded in some spots since the car spent some of it's life in the florida sunshine. There are spots that the paint has chipped or cracked so don't thinks it a perfecgt paint job. The body itself is solid the quater panels do not show signs of rust and the rockers and rear frame rails are solid. The floors have a couple of small spots of rust that some previous owner has addressed. The rims have a little rust but clean up nice for a driver. Overall this car needs a little tlc to be really nice but it is a great driver as is or a really good start on a high end resto mod. If you want to see it or need more info please emaill me and I will get back to you thanks for looking.
