You are viewing my beautifully restored 1968 Chevy C10. This truck started life as an original factory big back window (very rare), short bed, 327, auto, and AC truck! This truck has NOT been cut down and smothered in bondo. It is a very rust free southern truck that has been nicely restored and updated. This truck was purchased new in southern Georgia and lived most of its life there until I was given the opportunity to buy it. This truck is all original on the exterior and interior, but the drivetrain is all new and improved. If you like “the old school with the new stuff”, this is the truck for you. The truck runs, drives, and rides better than it did the day it was bought!

Drivetrain:

Engine:

Shortly after the truck was brought here to Tennessee, the old worn out 327 was professionally swapped with a 5.3 LS engine from a 2006 Chevy Tahoe (roughly 63,xxx miles on the engine as of today 9/15/2016). If you are not familiar with these engines, I would highly recommend doing some research and reading on them. They are well known for their reliability, yet impressive ability to make great power with very little modifications. This engine in particular has been beefed up a little with the following:

Texas Speed 224r Camshaft

PRC .650 Springs & Titanium Retainers

Texas Speed Hardened Chromoly Pushrods

Texas Speed 5315 Lifters

Custom tune using HP Tuners

The engine runs absolutely perfect and fires up as soon as you turn the key. With the modifications, the engine puts down roughly 350 hp to the wheels and 340 tq. Very strong running engine with plenty of power! The engine wiring was all tucked away and hidden but still retains the obd2 port for scanning and tuning (mounted under the hood on the side of the fender). There is a small red light that is added to the dash so if the check engine light was the come on, the red light will light up.

Transmission:

Along with the engine, the transmission was also replaced with a 4L60E 4 speed automatic (with overdrive). The transmission was also removed from the 2006 Tahoe and was rebuilt with all new upgraded clutches, heavy duty Kevlar bands, etc. It shifts perfectly in every gear; no slipping or jerking.

Rear end:

The truck still retains the original 12 bolt gm rear end but has been totally rebuilt and has a Yukon 3.73 gear. It is very quiet, no roaring or weird noises. It also has a custom built 1-piece driveshaft.

Exterior:

The body of the truck overall is very straight and rust free for its age. It has a few very minor dings up close along the top of the bed but nothing that is noticeable unless you are looking for them. This is not a “perfect” truck, so it does have some very minor imperfections. It does also have new cab corners. The truck was totally taken apart and stripped down and given a new paint job less than 6 months ago. It was painted Toyota Black which is a very deep black. It is beautiful when clean and has a great shine. The bumpers were also paint matched and all chrome pieces are original. I added a set of 15x8 Corvette Rally wheels with new 275/60 BF Goodrich tires. It has also been lowered with aftermarket lowering springs; rides very well. Not bouncy or stiff. It is very smooth.

Interior:

I decided to keep the interior of the truck as original as possible. It has a brand new recovered black leather bench seat, black leather door panels and sun visors, and new black carpet. The dash pad is still original and has a few places that are cracking. Original tilt steering column and steering wheel. The truck still has all of its original gauges. The speedometer and temp gauges are not working but I do plan on fixing this before the end of the auction. Also, the blower motor for the heater works when it wants to. I will include a whole new unit with the truck. All of the glass is original with the exception of the windshield. There are no cracks or nicks. And it does still have the original big back window! This is a very rare hard to find combination.

Overall, this is a very well put together truck. It gets plenty of attention every where I go and has proven its reliability to me. Whether you are buying it to be a daily driver, or maybe just a weekend cruiser, this truck will do exactly what you want it to. Everything works as it should, and with the updated drivetrain, it will most definitely last a long time and is much more reliable than the old carbureted engine. I hate to see it go but due to unforeseen circumstances, I will not have the extra room to keep it. The truck stays in a climate controlled garage and NEVER gets driven unless the weather is nice. The winning bidder will truly be getting a very nice truck. I hope the new owner enjoys and takes care of it as much as I have. I am offering it up for sale with a no reserve. Please make sure you have the funds and the “ok” from the wife before bidding. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will respond quickly. I also do have a clean and clear Tennessee title in hand in my name. Thank you for looking and good luck!

**I will be glad to help anyone with shipping if needed. The last two vehicles I sold here on eBay went out west and we had no issues.

**An immediate $1000 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auctions end. This will secure and hold the truck until the remaining amount is paid.
