1968 chevelle SS 396 , 4 Speed

1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Additional Info:

Original 1968 Chevelle Sport Coupe. Original SS396 car with 4 speed. 81,815 original documented miles.
The car was bought new in NY by a Young man (and his mother) in the US Military. The car went to GA and at under 10 years old was sold to the second owner who brought it to CA. His family has had the car since. It has been off the road since 2000. But started and driven a few times then.
It recently got a tune, battery, fuel system flush and a brake flush and new rear tires. The car now fires right up, idles smooth, sounds great. Clutch and brakes both feel good. Brakes were done about 10k miles ago in the 90's. I have receipts from the 80's and 90's for misc work, brakes, clutch and tires a few times. All documenting the mileage.
I have been driving the car locally and it is fun to drive. Everything works, all lights and gauges, heater etc.. The only thing I have found not working is the horn.
I have the original Protecto Plate showing the options on the car. This car has its original numbers matching motor and trans. Power Steering and Push Button Radio. Radio is gone. Power steering works good with no noise.
All glass is good.
Original 4 speed has a hurst shifte, It has popped out of third on me in the past but not all the time.
Body is very good, straight and solid. The floors, rockers and trunk are all very good with no serious rust. Floors are excellent. The drivers side rear wheel well has a rust spot in the top center and a few blisters on the low edge. Both front fenders have small blisters at the bottom.
This car was repainted in the 80's. Always Matador Red. It had a vinyl top from the factory. It was removed when the car was painted in the 80's. so it does not have the typical rust under the vinyl top. All the original trim for the top was saved with the car and is included.
Interior is in need of restoration. I do have new seat covers (but drivers seat will need foam too) for both the factory from buckets and rear seat. I also have a new headliner.
I have clear CA title, Factory Warranty card, protect plate, original manual, Recent appraisal and a manual.
