1991 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe Additional Info:

Up for bid is my 1991 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe. I purchased this car in 1994 and am just the second owner. During the past 25 years I have done my best to keep this car in very good shape, fixing anything that was amiss. It was my goal to keep it even longer, but unfortunately, a recent eye injury and my age have forced me to find a replacement vehicle with the latest safety features (especially for night driving).

As a result, I’m hoping to find a new home for my baby. You would at minimum be getting a solid daily driver; or at most, an excellent survivor candidate for a medium or even full restoration.

Why? This is a special car: out of the 16,212 Eldorados manufactured in 1991, just 2,249 were Touring Coupes. As ETCs only came in six colors, likely fewer than 500 were ever made in “Crimson” (GM paint code 81). It is powered by Cadillac’s exclusive 4.9L V-8, which provides 200 hp and 275 ft/lbs of torque. Although not as impressive now, at the time, GM touted this vehicle as the most powerful front-wheel drive production car in the world. It has every option offered, including a factory power astroroof.

The interior color is Light Beechwood and features leather seats. The only option on this car that does not function is the inflatable lumbar supports. The odometer has just turned over 300K miles, but I replaced the motor at 189K. The (slotted) brakes and Goodrich T/A 235/55 tires (wider than 215/60 factory originals) are about 8 months old. The A/C system does have a small leak but is in otherwise good shape (converted from R12 to R134a a year ago). The catalytic converter was replaced with a new, factory GM unit about seven years ago.

Upgrades I have made include:

·Later-model GM mirror with digital compass

·Significant amounts of Dynamat installed throughout for a quiet interior

·Sirius/XM radio receiver (Commander MT) included

·Speakers replaced with Infinity speakers

·Front seats reupholstered

·Steering wheel re-wrapped in leather (extra leather included separately)

·Rear package shelf re-carpeted

·All engine compartment wiring re-loomed

The r/h quarter panel and r/h hood are dented from an accident, but you will receive all the parts you need for repair (after the bodywork). Other spare parts include:

·Front grille

·Wheel/rim

·Upper radiator hose

·One ETC-specific tail lamp

·One front turn-signal lens

·Toolbox full of odds and ends

I will provide a folder with the invoice for every major service on the car dating to 1994! You will also receive the most complete document library of manuals and literature available for this car, including:

·Service Information Manual

1 1991 Cadillac Product Service Publications

·Parts Catalogue

·Quick Reference Specifications Guide

·1991 Cadillac Media Information binder

·1991 New Product Presentation Portfolio binder

·1991 Competitive Comparison Guide binder

·Insurance Estimating Guide

·Vehicle Diagnostics System booklet

·Owner’s Manual

Other extras:

·Touch-up paint (spray and bottle), exterior and interior

·Second remote key fob and key set

·Blank GOLD VATS ignition and trunk keys

·Custom front floor mats, plus the original four floor mats

·Original Gold Key Delivery System cassette (unopened)

·One good-quality folding windshield sunshade

This car offers a very smooth, powerful ride. Not a month goes by that I don't get a question or compliment in traffic. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to get a beautiful classic Eldorado at a great price. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you for your consideration.
