LOCATION...Cumming, A (approx. 35 miles north of Atlanta)

INVESTMENT POTENTIAL...since their 1953 debut, adillac Eldorado convertibles have proven to be among the most solid of classic car investments. Values for cars in excellent condition range all the way up to $240,100 (see examples at left). As the very last generation of Eldorado convertibles (with no upcoming re-introduction of Eldorado convertibles in sight) handsome future appreciation should be anticipated, nd NOW is the time to invest.

The 1984 Eldorado Biarritz convertible was the most expensive Cadillac convertible ever produced in terms of its price premium over an equivalent Cadillac hardtop. Because the 1979-1985 Eldorados were originally engineered to be hardtops only...the 1984 Eldorado is all the more remarkable for its GM-sponsored/approved conversion. The convertible work was so well done, hat the cars were sold by Cadillac dealers under full warranty right alongside all other 1984 Cadillacs in the showroom - and fully illustrated in the 1984 Eldorado catalog (see image at left). The cost was enormous, s the convertible sold for $18,000 MORE than the standard Eldorado hardtop, hich was "only" $11,049 at the time. Therefore, he cost of the convertible "option" was much MORE than the hardtop Eldorado itself!

The $30,000 price of the 1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible is the equivalent of almost $75,000 in 2016 dollars! And, hat included only the standard Cadillac "wire wheel covers"...this Eldorado has genuine wire wheels.

Now just a bit over 30 years old, t is coming into its own as a modern-day classic and is eligible for entry into many of the prestigious concours events for classic cars. It is an absolute stand-out in its time as one of the most capably designed and down-sized body designs in the world. To successfully incorporate so many classic Cadillac styling cues onto a new - and dramatically smaller - platform, et retain a look of absolute opulence and luxury is notable indeed and unmatched by its competitors.

YOU MAY NEVER SEE ANOTHER 1984 ELDORADO BIARRITZ CONVERTIBLE THIS NICE...don't hesitate and miss out!

QUESTIONS? Please call Jim Murphy at 706-429-7924 if you have any questions that this description or the pictures at right do not answer for you.

BACKGROUND...we purchased this exceptional Eldorado from a prominent Mercedes dealership. The car was so stunning, he dealer made the bold decision to display it INSIDE... in the NEW CAR showroom! It got more attention than the new Mercedes offerings at the time! Technically, ercedes dealers are prohibited from displaying any make other than Mercedes in the showroom...so seeing a classic Cadillac on display along with the very best from Mercedes was a memorable sight.

Purchased primarily as an investment and as part of a small private collection of classics, t has gotten rave reviews and "thumbs up" wherever it goes and is a real pleasure to drive and be seen in. It has the sweetest and best idle of any 1980s era car I have ever driven. Many "baby boomers" recall how expensive and "unobtainable" this car was in 1984, nd it's a joy for them to see one on the open road today.

What better way to celebrate the upcoming spring season than with a classic Eldorado Biarritz convertible?

OPERATIONALS...due no doubt to excellent engineering; the power steering, rakes, indows, op, nd trunk release all work beautifully as does the radio. The highly sophisticated (for its day) digital Fuel Data panel and Gallons to Empty work too (though we never attempted to verify accuracy). The "Miles to Empty" feature seems intermittent...sometimes there's an indication...sometimes not. The cruise control and visor vanity lights do not work. Twilight Sentinel is featured on the car but untested. Heater and AC have worked very well for us, ut we do charge the AC each season - which is also common for other AC-equipped cars we have of 30+ years of age.

The conversion of these cars from hardtop to convertible is amazingly well done...but realize that the automotive engineering world has come a long way in body rigidity and greenhouse sealing in the last 30 years.

Owners of all 1979-85 Eldorados, ivieras, nd Toronados are likely well aware that the driver's side visors gradually lose their raise/lower adjustment "grip", nd this car is no exception. The passenger's side (owing to less use over the years) has good adjustable grip. This is just a design foible that all owners reckon with.

ABOUT ME: I am an avid car enthusiast. After retiring from 30 years of sales and marketing in a Global 100 company, formed Murphy Endeavors, LC and began buying and selling classic cars as a collector and for friends and clients.

Please note that I have had 2,649 eBay transactions with happy folks and have sold classic cars to eBay customers in Brazil, weden, witzerland, rance, ermany, ustralia, ussia, anada, apan, nd throughout the United States.
IMPORTANT FINAL REMARKS & CONDITIONS OF SALE...the Buyer will receive a Notarized Bill of Sale and the original Georgia Title.

Though this 1984 Eldorado has obviously been very well cared for - it remains a 32 year-old automobile. The need for repairs and maintenance with any vehicle is an ongoing activity - often required without notice. Therefore, his sale is strictly on an as-is and final basis with no warranties or liabilities expressed or implied.

ODOMETER NOTE: The Mercedes dealer that we purchased this classic from had advertised the mileage as original. Because Georgia typically titles vehicles of this age as odometer mileage "EXEMPT" - and because the Mercedes dealer had no mileage documentation - we make no guarantees about odometer correctness. Frankly, nless you are dealing with the original owner, o 5-digit odometer on any car can be 100% relied upon for accurate mileage.

Every effort has been made to present this classic car completely and accurately to the best of our knowledge and resources, ut errors and oversights are possible. Therefore, re-purchase examination of the vehicle (if desired) is welcomed before the listing's end and can be easily arranged by appointment.
