The front wheel drive era of Cadillac's Eldorado was first introduced in 1967 as a personal luxury car and saw continuous production until 2002 when the model was discontinued. The front wheel drive design allowed for a spacious floor as it eliminated the hump normally required for the drive shaft. The 1973 model was the last year for its particular style dash layout and the last of this style without rear quarter panel extensions. In 1974 Cadillac added the troublesome... rear fender extensions (body fillers) which lengthened the look of the rear quarter panels but are also notorious for crumbling apart leaving a large void between the quarter panel and rear bumper. Many collectors also prefer the look of the short rear end. Back in the day one automotive writer liken'd the Eldorado's design to that of a bull with it's massive front end and short rear. This exceptional 1973 Eldorado has only 27,000 miles with excellent paint that's nearly all original, the vinyl top is mint and original and the rare houndstooth interior is 100% original and looks nearly new! It's powered by Cadillac's massive 500 cubic inch V8 that produces lots of torque and delivers smooth performance. All options and equipment are in working order including the a/c. A new set of Vogue radial whitewalls were recently installed (shown in photos). This Eldorado drives excellent! The original owners manual and sales brochure are included.
