1963 Cadillac 62 Convertible Additional Info:

1963 Model 62 Cadillac Convertible for sale in Windsor, CO 80550

History: This is a two-owner, one-family car – I got it from my uncle back in late 2002. It was driven regularly as a weekend and vacation car up until 1977 when it was stored. I had extensive work done to get it back into running shape but kept it 99%+ original. Since I had it re-worked, it's resided in my garage and been run at least monthly to keep it fresh. It currently has 70,362 miles (as of 12/18) on it. This is not a show car, it's a driver with wear appropriate to its age and mileage.

Body: The body is in good shape, with some minor rust and a few small dings. The paint is original, with some spray can touch ups. The convertible top and all of the windows are original. The convertible top hydraulic mechanism works, as do the power windows.

Interior: It's got black leather bench seats showing minimal wear, the front seat is power operated. There's a small tear in one of the rear seat armrest seams. The AM/FM radio works, as does the power antenna.

Engine and Transmission: It came standard with a 390cid/325hp V8, a 4-barrel carburetor and a 4 speed Hydromantic transmission. I had the top end rebuilt and hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel installed when I got it. I also had the transmission rebuilt and replaced the points with an electronic ignition module.

Other Info: It's got mechanical/pneumatic cruise control that still works and a tilt steering wheel. When I got it, I had the following done - new exhaust, new brakes and brake lines, re-built master cylinder, re-built radiator, new belts and hoses, new shocks, new ball joints. I also added a security system with ignition disable and seat belts for the front seats. The only thing that I'm aware of that doesn't work is the clock. It was broken when I got it, I had it repaired and it worked for about 10 yrs, then failed again. Besides what I've already mentioned, the non-original parts that I put on are the vinyl cover for the convertible top, an electric windshield washer pump, the rearview mirror and better headlight bulbs. The top to the windshield washer fluid reservoir is missing (there's a plastic flap covering it right now. Comes with all of the receipts for the work I had done.
