Drive this car and you will understand why Elvis loved Cadillacs. The second, glaringly obvious thing you will realize, is where the saying… “It rides like a Cadillac..” came from for sure. History

In 1962 they only produced 1450 Eldorado Biarritz Convertibles, so this a very low production car. Out of that 1450 how many were BUCKET SEAT A/C cars? This car is a fully documented bucket seat, A/C Eldorado Biarritz. It is a well-loved, well maintained car. It received a body-on restoration in the mid 2000’s. If you have always wanted to own a car like this, it behooves you to buy one already done. There are so many “Cadillac” intricacies on this car that would be almost impossible to replace had they not been there. Everything works on this car, with the exception of the clock, all the little lights, the power windows, the little things. It all looks great, the chroming on the inside of the car, on the outside of the car. It rides, drive and operated beautifully. It is truly mesmerizing to drive it. For all of you Cadillac purists that want to know how it codes out here it is:

Mechanicals

The engine and transmission have both received a rebuild. Engine was bored .030, all new bearings, standard size, new cam/lifters, pertronix ignition. Transmission overhauled, shifts smoothly, all new u-joints in driveshaft. Completely rebuilt front suspension, rebuilt steering box, new shocks and brakes. New stainless exhaust system. 1969 Cadillac front disk brake conversion. All new convertible top system from Hydro-E-Lectric. Top goes up and down effortlessly as do the windows. The A/C is functioning. 100 % transparency here, it was hard to tell the other day just how cold it was. It was in the 50’s outside and it was hard to get a read on it. But it comes on nicely, compressor is quiet and smooth. After going over the car I found two things that will need to be addressed mechanically. It has a small exhaust tick on the driver side. Most likely an exhaust gasket or doughnut. Hard to hear, I mention it in the video, when I have the car running and the trunk lock. I noticed it was loose, key did not want to open it properly, so I removed it and placed it in the truck. It also has remote trunk opener.

Cosmetics

The car will not disappoint. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO LOOK AT THE PHOTOS AND VIDEO I HAVE ON THE LINKS MENTIONED ABOVE. It is very nice looking, the paint is shiny and slick. Not perfect but a very nice, well prepped paint job on a straight, nicely gapped original body. Chrome has all been replated and it shows very nicely. The interior is new, genuine leather from SMS. All the chrome on the inside is very nice and restored. Top is brand new, looks great. Top frame has been detailed and painted. This car has been kept in a climate controlled garage.
