1978 Cadillac Fleetwood Additional Info:

This auction is for a 1978 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 4 door sedan. Only 49,720 miles. It has a 425 V-8 with auto trans, and pretty much fully loaded. The only thing I see it doesn't have is the power moon roof option. We purchased this car along with another car from a dealer friends estate. He passed away a short time ago from a long illness. This Cadillac was his pride and joy. He purchased it a number of years ago and would use it on Sunday rides and special occasions .The car has been stored away for the past 3 years until we acquired it. We pulled it out of storag, did a light clean up on i, installed a new battery and fired it up. The car runs and drives great. It was down on brake fluid in the back resovior . We filled it up and they seem to be working ok. Looks like one back rear wheel cylinder is a little wet. So that will probably have to be addressed. The body on the car is really exceptional. Nice straight and solid. There is one small blister area on the right rear wheel well lip and some chipped paint on the top left rear fender extension thats it. The underside is good and solid. The car has always been garaged. Factory full vinyl roof in excellent condition. Of course from sitting it appears that the transmission pan gasket is weeping and should be replaced. All of the tires look close to new. The interior of the car is in really nice shape. All leather . Headliner is intact but is just starting to sag a little. One small taped spot on drivers door arm rest. All power windows work. Most electrical s work . I noticed one headlight out and couldn't seem to get the lights in the doors to come on. Contacts could just need to be cleaned from sitting. I know there are things that probably need to be gone through from sitting but this is just a really nice top of the line Caddy that you can drive and enjoy now and do the tiddleys as you go along. The 78 and 79 Caddys are my favorite ones of that era and if I had a place to keep it I would hang on to it. If you have any questions or concerns just pick up the phone and give me a call and I will go over the car with you. Sold on a Maine dealer bill of sale and proper transfer forms. If you need a title in your state we are willing to register the car and with our registration and forms you will receive a title in your state. It would be $150 extra should you need this service. If you need more info or pics feel free to call or email us at 207-324-5568 days or 207-432-2862 eves and Sundays. We reserve the right to end the auction early for a local sale.
