1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible Additional Info:

Looking great, equipped with all the luxury options available at the time it rolled off the assembly line and sporting unusually low mileage, this 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible is a rare find. A heavily-coveted classic to begin with, it boasts an illustrious history as well, having been originally purchased by none other than Elvis Presley, given to his close friend, Jimmy Velvet, who later put it on display at the Elvis Museum in Memphis for an extended period of time. Quite a colorful past, and it comes with the documentation (as well as a nice sampling of Elvis memorabilia) to serve as testimony.
Immortalized in so many songs and movies alike, the Eldorado convertible is a car that very few others can compete with in terms of sheer coolness. Combine that long, terraced hood, with emblem standing tall in front, the ornate front grille with a pair of dual headlights on each side to give it a Clint Eastwood-like glare, and the generous use of chrome trim from front to back, and you have a vintage attention-grabber in a league all its own. As befits a one-time museum piece, this convertible is looking great sporting yellow paint with a nice even clearcoat that gives it a deep shine. The chrome throughout looks clean and pit free, and the bumpers in front and back appear table-straight. You'll notice that the body panels are well-fitted, with nice, flush lines that allow the doors to open and close smoothly. At first glance, you're likely to picture the open-air cruising potential of this lengthy classic, but in more challenging environments, you'll have a new white, power convertible top at your disposal, raising without any issues and sporting a clear glass windshield in back. This Eldorado sits low to the ground with a look of undeniable self-confidence, as befits a car with such off the charts charisma.
The King was known for the generosity he bestowed to his friends and, while he purchased quite a number of cars for their use and enjoyment, he certainly outdid himself with this one - likely checking every available box when it came time to select the options to take their place inside the plush beige interior. From the awesomely comfortable leather split-bench seat in front, to cruise control, power windows, power locks and even the AM/FM/8 track still bearing an Elvis tape inside, this Eldo is as well-appointed as anyone could want. The A/C blows cold and with plenty of force and, as you look through the stock Cadillac steering wheel towards the dash, you'll notice that all the gauges remain very easily readable through crystal clear lenses. This classic has spent most of its life well-protected indoors and it shows no obvious evidence of sun damage and a dash pad that remains unbowed and straight as it was when new. Just an awesome-looking interior from any measure.
Below that long hood sits an engine befitting a car of this stature. Sporting an unparalleled 500 cubic inch making it the largest displacement production engine of its time this V8 churns out 400hp and 550lb/ft of torque in stock form and propels this substantial car effortlessly. In fine form, the massive powerplant fires right up, idles with impressive smoothness and is paired with the same 3-speed transmission it began life with. Also well suited to come to a stop when the occasion demands, this Caddy is equipped with disc brakes at all four corners. An unparalleled example of '70s motoring cool, it sits on a set of 15" stock Cadillac rims, wrapped in Hankook Optima tires.
