1991 Cadillac DeVille Additional Info:

*1991 CADILLAC SEDAN DEVILLE*

This 25 year old classic, but RUST FREE ridehas only 78K actual miles& it runs & drives greatbut has many exterior appearance issues. It starts, runs & is mechanically reliable just as you would expect a vehicle with only 72K miles to be. It comes with lots of paperworkincluding the original purchase receipt, all the inspection certificates (its inspected until 5/17), owners manuals, repair work, repair manual, etc.

It was purchased & cared for by an older gentleman until his death about 2 years agoat that time it was sold to a family friend& his son ended up with it. He didn't know how to restore a vehicle & ended up causing more damage than repairs. I bought it, spent several days cleaning it inside & out repaired/replaced what I could for free or cheap & now its listed here to help find it a loving home. My eBay name: 500cubes (which I first used back in 1998)refers to the early 70s 500 cubic inch engines used in Cadillacs. So I have always been a Caddy man!

Since it is a classic car with many great parts on a low miles chassis I figure this would bethe ultimatecar for parts: just the remaining lower body molding is worth $500. The door panels are worth an additional $500.(check completed eBay listings if you have doubts) The parts prices will be highbecause they are in great condition & those mentioned are just a 5% of the parts this car has!

However, if I was ONLY about tearing a car up for parts I wouldn't be listing this with a $500. starting price & no reserve. I mainly sell parts & if I wanted to makea small fortuneparting this vehicleI couldbut I prefer seeing a classic car SAVED& this one deserves to be fixed. Money isn't that important to me, sure its nice & it makes the world go round but in this instance the car is more important... besidesthe better price you get the more you will have to spend on its needed appearance issues!

Needed repairs include:The Cabriolet top needs completely redone (expensive), its missing the right, rear body molding ($100 on eBay), the passengers side front door has a slight dent & the molding on that side is damaged ($125), one of the front bumper guards is bent (could be straightened if the entire bumper were removed). For the interior: the headliner was falling & was removed, the radio doesn't work &the air needs charged. The trunk lock doesn't pull down like it should.

Just about everything else is clean, works&/or looks great: like a car with under 100K should! The carpet & original floor mats are super clean, the seats work perfect & look great, the windows all work fantastic. The trunk is complete with the jack & spare tire, the engine compartment is clean & original (new battery). The body is straight (except for the mentioned slight door dent) & completely rust free top bottom, side to side! The paint is getting thin but is complete & still looks presentable, would look fantastic with a good buffing & wax. Tirespassed inspection, alloy wheels arean expensive option. Exhaust has NO leaks & is complete. The car doesn't leak fluids.

This will make a fantastic, truly ultimateparts car but I hope & pray you willmake it agreat driver & if money permits: a long term restoration project. I'm not certain if this was a good idea to list on eBay, perhaps it will be a waste of money... but if I can manage to locate a new home for this slightly rough but high potential car for ANY price above $500. I will be thrilled.

This car does run great, shift without issue & stop without issue... it probably would even make it home on a long trip. It has been no trouble while I've owned it... but you must take that risk on your own. You need not praise me if it does, or blame me if it doesn't! ;) Clear VA title in hand. 5 gallons of gas included!
