GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this clean convertible 1971 Buick Skylark! This iconic classic comes in a brown paint job complemented by a spotless matching interior and white convertible top. The convertible top is in excellent condition and functions as it should. Powering the Buick is believed to be the original 350 cubic inch V8 motor mated to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. A rebuild was completed on the 350 to include a 30 bore over marking it a 355ci, a comp thumper cam, TA performance pistons, High tension valve springs, TA performance intake manifold, Holley 750CFM carburetor, high capacity oil pump, full MSD ignition and more. Other recent maintenance completed includes new rocker arms, timing gear and chain, water pump, fuel pump, starter, alternator and much more. Additionally, a complete rebuild was completed on the suspension and braking systems within the past 4 years. This excellent example comes to us from an elite private collection. As such the vehicle was always properly stored and well maintained. So, if you've been in the market for an excellent classic cruiser, this Skylark is the vehicle for you. The Skylark is a passenger car produced by Buick. The model was made in six production runs, during 46 years, over which the car's design varied dramatically due to changing technology, tastes and new standards implemented over the years. For the 1971 model year, the base Skylark was available only with the inline-6, now only putting out 145 hp due to emission control devices, but in a two-door hardtop coupe body-style (in addition to the previous two- and four-door sedans). The Skylark 350 had a V8 engine that put out only 230 hp. It was now available as a two-door sedan in addition to the previous two-door hardtop coupe and four-door sedan.
