MODEL 66R

HELLO BUYERS FOR A 1957BUICK CENTURY 2 DOOR HARDTOP SPORT COUPE MODEL 66R! BARN FIND!

THIS 57 BUICK IS A TIME CAPSULE SITTING INSIDE FOR 45 YEARS IN CALIFORNIA UNTIL IT WAS BROUGHT HERE TO COLORADO 2 YEARS AGO. A GOOD SOILD OVERALL CAR IN ORIGINAL COLORS AND INTERIOR AND DRIVETRAIN. HAS HAD A BLEND-IN REPAINT ON MANY AREAS AS TOUCHUPS, BUT OVERALL THE ORIGINAL PAINT PATINA IS AWESOME! WOULD BE A GREAT CLEARCOAT PATINA RATROD CAR?

NOT MANY LEFT LIKE THIS IN THIS SHAPE. THE CAR HAS SOME SPOTS THAT HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AND WAS DONE LONG AGO AS IT IS LEAD FILLED SPOTS! NO BONDO ANYWHERE. SOME PAINT LIFTING IN THESE AREAS AND BARE METAL PATINA. THE RUST IS MAINLY THE FLAT FLOORS OF THE FRONT AREA AND REAR LOWER. ONE MAIN FLOOR PAN WOULD BE PERFECT FROM INNER ROCKER SEAM TO SEAM. EVERYTHING ELSE IS VERY SOLID LIKE THE ROCKERS AND THE TRUNK MAIN FLOORS AND BRACES AND REAR PANS. WHEEL WELLS ARE VERY GOOD ALSO AND UPPER HOUSES. DOORS ARE VERY GOOD ALSO. THE SMALL AREAS OF SOME RUST OUTS ARE THE LOWER FRONT FENDERS SPLASH-UP AREA, AND THE FRONT OF THE REAR WHEEL OPENING LOWER, SEE PICTURE CLOSE UPS.

INTERIOR IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH SLIP COVERS OVER OPRIGINAL SEATS. HARD SIDE COVERS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE IN THE BOX IN TRUNK. THE BOX HAS NEW PARTS FOR COMPLETE ENGINE TUNE UP AND SERVICE RODS FOR GREESE / STEERING PARTS. GOOD QUALITY PARTS IN BOXES STILL. THE HEADLINER IS NEED OF REPLACEMENT, BUTSIDE DOOR PANELS AND REAR PANELS ARE VERY GOOD FOR DRIVER QUALITY AND LOWER PORTION COULD BE SAVED.

THE ORIGINAL DRIVETRAIN IS ALL STILL IN PLACE AND ALL ORIGINAL AS IT LEFT THE FACTORY. COMPLETE AND IS STILL A GOOD RUNNING MOTOR, EVEN AFTER SITTING. THE CYLINDERS WERE LUBED ANDNEW GAS WAS POURED INTO CARB AND SHE STARTED RIGHT UP. NOT RUNNING BUT CAN BE. SOLD AS NON RUNNING, BUT A FREE GOOD ORIGINAL ENGINE. THE ODOMETER IS SHOWING 35,300 MILES AND I DONT HAVE ANY SERVICE RECORDS ON MILEAGE.

LAST PLATED IN FEB 1982 IN CALIFORNIA BLACK PLATES "JHH 470" COME WITH THE CAR AND STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL DEALERSHIP "MAX BARISN" BUICK/ PONTIAC TAGS STILL ON THE CAR FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA AND ALSO HAS A CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL STICKER N FRONT WINDSHIELD.

GLASS IS ALL ORIGNAL AND THE FRONT INDOW HAS A ROCK CHIP AND SMALL CRACK STARTED ON UPPER PASSENGER SIDE. ALL OTHER GLASS IS OK AND SOME YELLOW BUBBLES FROM AGE. DOORS OPERATE AND LOCKS ALL WORK AND TRUNK. WINDOWS ALL OPERATE AND ROLL UP AND DOWN.

A GREAT CAR FOR ORIGINAL RESTORATION OR AS A RAT ROD CURISER. NOT TO MUCH TO GET IT ON THE ROAD IF THAT YOUR CHOICE?

WHEELS AND TIRES ARE NEW, NEWPOWDER COATED RED ORIGINAL RIMS, WITH 4 NEW RADIALS TIRES, 225x75x15". SPARE RIM IS ORIGINAL AND THE JACK.

ORIGINAL UNRESTORED UNTOUCHED CLASSSIC CARS ARE GETTING VERY RARE AND IN THIS ORIGINAL UNALTERED SHAPE, VERY HARD TO FIND.

PLEASE ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING AND WE CAN ASSIST YOU IN LOADING HERE AND WITH SOME CONECTIONS IN SHIPPING. PLEASE ALSO SEE OUR OTHER QUALITY CLASSIC UNITS UP FOR SALE RIGHT NOW. ALL PRICED VERY FAIR!
