1976 BMW 2002 2002 Automatic Additional Info:

All REASONABLE offers will be considered.

Very RARE Golf 2002 automatic up for sale. So here is the story:

1976 2002 that was restored in the last decade. Restoration included stripping and repainted it its original Golf color. New interior was added with the exception of the headliner. The seats are from an E3, very comfortable, and the back seat was upholstered to match the front seats. New carpet with custom made speaker holders in the kick panels. (No holes in the door panels.) Original dash with all the instruments in working order. Headliner in great shape with working dome light. All windows operate as they should along with the heater fan, cigarette lighter, horn, turn signals and lights. The sunroof operates as it should very smoothly. The audio system is an Alpine with CD, AUX input and Bluetooth ready to connect your phone. Custom amp is located in the trunk that powers 4 speakers. Sounds very nice.

The truck was also stripped and repainted, along with new upholstered floor boards. Orig spare and jack is also present. Very clean and solid

The body is also in very nice shape. All the doors, hood and truck all open and close very solid. Orig keys that lock both doors and truck work well. All chrome trim is in great shape and present. All glass is in tact and clean. Both bumpers are in nice shape. With the exception of a few flaws, please see pictures, the body is solid.

13" BBS rims with BMW center caps really completes the look on this car. The tires were new back from the restoration. They are usable with plenty of tread but do show some weather cracking on the sidewalls from sitting.

Believed to be the original motor and transmission. The motor fires right up and idles fine. However, once warm, you can hear a intermittent "light ticking or knock" at around 2200 rpm's. It comes and goes. My mechanic said that it could be the valves ticking or a cam bearing. All I know is it doesn't blow smoke out the tailpipe. The car runs and drivesand the transmission shifts very smoothly.

The car has been in storage since 2014.I am sure the new owner will appreciate the condition that its in.

I recommend a personal inspection for I believe you will not be disappointed.

These cars are becoming more collectable by the day and this color is one of the rarest you will see.
