1994 BMW 7-Series Additional Info:

Up for sale is this beautiful 1994 BMW 740iL with 165,xxx miles. I've been using this car as my daily driver, nd I've loved it every mile. I'm selling the car to get something a bit more economical and newer.
The car runs and drives great. The 5 speed automatic ZF transmission shifts well, ith occasional hard shifts, ut certainly no slips or serious mechanical issues. The 282 horse power 4.0L v8 M60 engine runs smoothly. No misfires or check engine lights. The car has only been given premium fuel.
The interior is in quite good condition. The only things to note about the interior is that it could probably need some new floor mats (the floor its self is in great condition), here are one or two cracks in the wood trim pieces (shifter handle and dash piece), nd the steering wheel has faded around the edges. The previous owner of this car was very considerate, eeping the seats nice with a leather balm and cleaning the vehicle routinely. All sunshades work, ncluding the motorized rear sun shade. The head liner is also in perfect shape, o sags or tears. All power seats, irrors, tc work perfectly. No smells or odor of any kind, nd the car was never smoked in (no ashes, urns, moke smells of any kind at all). The trunk is very clean, ith a jack, ire iron, nd full sized spare with the factor wheel. All speakers work great, nd sound pretty good for a car that's 20+ years old!
There are some imperfections to note on the outside of the vehicle. There are some expected scratches and cracks in the paint. Moderate but tolerable rust on the bottom of some of the doors, eft rear side of the vehicle, nd exhaust. The passenger side windshield wiper does not work. If you were wondering, replaced the rear badge with a Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Germany) badge, nd I obscured a bumper sticker I have on it (I will remove it for you).
Recent repairs and maintenance have been made within the last 10,000 miles I have had it, hich has been about 9 months in total. All parts are completely new (except the tire):
  • Regular oil changes
  • Both oxygen sensors replaced at 153,000 miles
  • New fuel door hinge
  • New thermostat housing
  • New radiator, an clutch, nd shroud (all brand new)
  • New fuel tank strap
  • New right side outer tie rod end
  • New headlight bulbs
  • Nice newer Yokohama W-Drive winter tires
Notable issues:
There aren't any major mechanical issues with this car. I have driven it very gently, nd notice no problems on long trips. I haven't gotten around to these problems, ut could very easily be fixed.
  • Occasional warning about the oil level sensor (which is a loose connection, ausing it to be intermittent. Easily repairable, 0 repair or just some spare wire if anything)
  • The traction control light stays on (an ABS sensor on one of the wheels likely needs to be replaced, bout $40)
  • The SRS light flashes (this will need scanned to know why the air bag system has given a code, ikely only needs reset with a scan tool or by a service center)
Why to buy:
This is a stunningly gorgeous car, lain and simple. It's fun, as some decent power (limited speed of 155mph, 82 horse power), ides smooth, uilt with dependable German engineering, lassic BMW styling, nd has that 80-90s touch of magic. These cars aren't easy to find in this shape, s they have almost all been subject to the nikasil problem. This car easily lives to 250,000+ miles, specially considering the shape of the engine.
Message me with any questions or concerns.
I can drive the car to you if you live within a reasonable distance from Northwest Ohio.
