This thirty year-old classic E28-chassis BMW sedan began as a stock original Diamondshwartz metallic example before it received a custom hand-painted motif nine years ago by award-winning industrial designer Evan Esterman. Yes, yours truly! It can be driven just as it is though I would recommend a nice buff to bring back the original vivid color, redo it completely or bring back to the original finish. In any case, it is a running and driving, and quite eye-catching specimen unlike anything else you will see. It sports the original 182 horsepower 3.5 liter inline six cylinder mated to s recent;y-replaced 4 speed automatic transmission with sport and winter modes, electric sunroof and windows, original Recaro-sourced electric leather sports seats, front and rear "is" spoilers, 15" BMW wheels with decent rubber, cruise control and M sport steering wheel. This 99.9% rust-free art car is being sold with clean and clear California title. THE BODY AND TRIM
The exterior of this 1987 BMW is in decent condition with the nine year-old paint showing fading, chipping, peeling and general wear. Do I redo it or leave as it is with its current patina? Let's let the new owner decide. The BMW wheels are a bit dowdy and worn though I can discuss other wheel options.

THE INTERIOR
As I hope is articulated in the photos, the interior of this 1987 BMW is in decent, quite original condition overall with working six-digit odometer, working electric windows, seats and sunroof. Imperfections inside the car include taped-up seats, dash cracks, OBC light does not illuminate but works, lousy stereo reception and a few other cosmetic blemishes.

THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
It is quite an experience to drive this old BMW and defintely NOT for the shy driver as it garners attention EVERYWHERE you drive or park. It starts right up and performs fairly well with all its power, good shifting transmission, strong braking with anti-lock too. The engine has some valve noise....an adjustment might help], the suspension components show some wear but still usable. It still has that responsive BMW feel even with 219,XXX miles.
