I am the third owner of this car, which lived most of it's life as a vacation car for a wealthy couple at their Durango CO home. Their light use is evident in the low miles - 101,000 - less than 3000 per year, and it's very good condition. As you can see by the grille badge, previous owners have been BMW Car Club members. The car has been enjoyed and maintained by BMW enthusiasts.
A pre-sale inspection by a Denver BMW specialty shop revealed no issues. Passes CO emissions easily.
This car shifts, brakes, steers and overall drives very well.
The leather seats have no deep cracks or splits - only minor surface wear. The dash is cracked, which is common. The headliner is in good shape with minor sun damage at the very lower rear.Door panels are excellent. Carpet very good with only minor wear or stains. Comes with a set of blue/gray BMW floor mats.
Electric windows work well, as does the sunroof.Radio is included in dash, but is not connected.
Body shows no sign of any accidents. Paint appears original, with small touched up rock chips. Of note: One dent on trailing edge of nose, one small shallow parking lot ding on passenger side, and one clear coat flaw (re-cleared) over passenger side rear wheel. Small area of paint touch up ahead of lower rear wheel well.
Glass is OEM. Windshield has one rock chip on passenger side that is (for me) behind the rearview mirror when driving, so not an issue.
Original BMW rims. Tires are good with approximately 5k miles on them.
The starter bendix has been a bit lazy of late, occasionallynot engaging on first try. But has always worked on subsequent key turn.
Non-smoker vehicle. Smells great & leathery, and ashtrays appear never used.
No rust! A thorough inspection of underside revealed no rust!
Over past 5 years, minor service has included new front & rear sway bar bushings & bolts, spark plugs & distributor rotor/cap, valve cover gasket, engine intake and cooling hoses, front flex disc, oil pressure sensor, struts and parking brake cables, fuel pump, and full valve adjustment.
Overall a very good 633.Abused cars are common - those without mechanical and cosmetic issues are not.I've enjoyed driving this car, and it gets a lot of compliments. Thanks for your interest!
Note: I just referenced the Hagerty Price guide for Sept-Dec 2017.Value guidance for1980 633csi in "good" condition is $7700. I think this vehicle certainly qualifies as such. THANKS
