1989 BMW E30 325e iS Swapped
158,000 miles
Hello,
Up for sale I have a BMW 325 super eta, that had an engine replaced with a 325is engine M20B25, which is RUST-FREE This car started its life as an automatic 325 super eta, and is now basically a 325is. The swap was performed very well, and absolutely everything was done over. Some of the components that were replaced prior to getting the engine were a headgasket, with paperwork, as well as rocker arms. The mileage is at 158,000, however the cluster stopped working last year, so could differ.
The car is a very nice dark gray color, with very clean beige interior. There aren't any rips or tears in the seats, but for a 20 plus year old car, there are very minor blemishes, but by my standards for a car of such age, it's almost perfect.
During the swap, many components were replaced, if not all. Most importantly, it does have a new clutch kit, and the flywheel was resurfaced by a local machine shop. The OEM shifter unit was replaced with a short shifter, which has an amazing feel to it. The engine was brought down to almost bare before install, and all of the gaskets were replaced, including the oil pan, valve cover, and exhaust manifolds as well. Also, all of the coolant hoses are new, and so are the gaskets, and the thermostat, radiator, water pump, and timing belt were also done.
This car is ready for you to get in and drive every single day, enjoy as a weekend cruiser, and its also race-ready for SPEC-E30 races. The car needs absolutely nothing. The car was fitted with eibach lowering springs and new bilsteins all around at the time of the swap, as the suspension was tired. The brakes were replaced all around, including the pads, rotors, rear shoes, and parking brake cables as well. A few other aftermarket touches include, the wheels, which are wrapped in newer tires, a custom axle back exhaust, and the high beams were done in yellow for that classic 80's look.
Notable aftermarket parts:
-Exhaust
-Eibach springs with new Bilstein's
-Short shifter, with all new parts
-Polyurethane bushings from Condor
-New performance tires
-New front lip
-Front subframe reinforcement kit
-Chassis was undercoated to prevent any rust.
-Euro grills
-Nice white wheels
