1981 BMW 3-Series Additional Info:

Good low mileage find. It sat in a ND barn with unknown fuel issues for over a decade before I got it. No mechanics in North Dakota could figure out it's issue, so it sat...hence the low miles!
I hauled it to Oregon and put $800 into it and had a shop get it running. They had to change out the fuel filter, then the pump, clean the lines, then finally needed to remove & clean out the tank & the pressure assist pump in there before it got enough pressure and would run smoothly.
Now it just needs someone who wants to restore her body + misc and get her back on the road. I was going to restore it but my back has really been acting up. It depends how far you want to take this car back. Would make a great College car for some lucky graduate.
It would need new floor pans as they are fairly rusted through. The dash is cracked, they make repair kits or covers, I'd replace the headliner. Front driver's seats need some spring work, and carpet and door panels are fair.
The body has minor surface rust in several little spots. It would need a good body guy willing to put some TLC into it, then paint it. No major dings, accident free as far as I know.
Mechanically, she drives around the block, but....the clutch and brakes are spongy and need maintenance. New brake pads and shocks are probably a good idea.
And as long as you're doing all that, might replace the
window/door/hood/trunk seals so it doesn't have any leaks.
Then you'd have yourself a car worth about $8,000. I found
a couple online with over 100k asking $8k.
