1988 BMW 3-Series Additional Info:

Runs when it wants to, believed to be fuel pump. Fuel fuses and relays all changed. Lots of other new parts all purchased from bavarion auto sport in NH, have most receipts. New parts are as follows, Hood release cable & handle, can shoot a nickle into your neighbors yard this thing opens nice and strong. Some vacuum hoses, throttle body - used, plugs wires cap rotor valve cover gasket all new, New coolant, thermostat & housing, timing belt, water pump, power steering pump, alternator, crank position sensor. While i had it apart, i replaced the gear on the end of the cam, just for the cause, old gear is fine. Fuel pressure regulator and injector seals also brand new. This car has a new $3000 automatic transmission, was done back when i bought the car somewhere around 2003....i drove the car for about a year then parked it in my garage while i drove my truck. Started rebuilding this car little by little a few years ago. Time has come to let someone else finish and restore everything as you go, thats if you want to, you can fix the fuel issue and drive like it is, it alo has new brakes all the way around calipars included. Needed a ball joint so i ended up buying new front control arms with all ball joints already attached, you can install them. The interior needs work and could use a new top...from sitting, the stitching deteriorated and rear window un-stiched itself, re-stitch the window back in and the top is usable. If i think of anything else as far as new parts i will edit and list, i know i forgot something. The car has 184k on the odo, had engine replaced with a engine that had 80k miles, you can tell the motor has low miles by looking at the head under the valve cover in the photo listed. The tranny was rebuilt from top to bottom and i drove for about a year so i'd say the most miles on trans is approx 10k miles. The body has minimal rust, good solid car and very fun to drive. Has many new parts and everything i listed hasn't even seen the road yet, very worthy to restore the rest. Ask any questions you may have. good luck!
