1991 BMW 318is E30 Coupe - 160,940 miles
I never thought I'd sell this, but I've come to the realization that I need something more practical for winter driving in CO, and I only have space in the garage for one car. I'd rather sell than park it on the street (it's been garage kept since new in 1991). Purchased from the original owner about 5 years ago, an elderly man who kept it completely stock. I haven't put a whole lot of miles on it, but I've done a few tasteful (reversible) mods over the years that add to the aesthetic and drivability. Anytime I've had to replace something, I've always upgraded (except the steering rack, as I didn't want to cut the firewall for a shorter ratio). Runs and drives excellent, no expense spared to keep it in top mechanical order. It is 26 years old, so it does have a few quirks, but it is 99% rust-free and as you can see, excellent shape for it's age. I would drive it anywhere, amazing gas mileage and all kinds of pep. Please do not hesitate to ask questions or request additional photos.

Issues:A/C hasn't had a belt on it since I bought it. Previous owner said it was a bad compressor, I just haven't messed with it.Hood latch broke years ago, have just been doing the screw driver trick, works fine.Dash has typical cracking (see pic).Onboard computer (time, temp etc) glitches every once in a while.Radio has been cutting out, sometimes its fine for days, just hasn't been a priority.I just installed the fog lights a couple weeks ago, but it's been cold so I haven't finished it - currently zip tied, but I have all mounting pieces (also needs an in-dash light, haven't felt the need to remove the gauges to add a bulb)Sometimes on hard turns the muffler tip hits the rear body - Needs adjusting, again not a priority.Sometimes on hard left turns (all the way to lock), the passenger tire rubs the plastic in the wheel well but does not affect tire/well. Just makes a sound, probably due to the wheel spacer.Driver seat bolster stitching is opening up (but it's been this way since I bought it) - see pic.Replaced a broken OEM front IS spoiler with a knockoff from Ebay and the fitment is not great, so I haven't installed the splitter on it (you can see it installed in a couple pics).I was rear ended at a stop light 3-4 years ago, resulting in a broken tail light (replaced) dent above the bumper, and broken bumper skin. The damage was not severe, but the rear bumper skin was replaced and color matched. The rear corner of the body was also color matched (in the pic you can slightly see the feathering in). Everything was fixed.Although the paint shines well for being 26 years old, there's spider webbing over most of the paint (see pic). Looks great at 10 feet.
Again, I've spared no expense on the mechanics of the car because I thought I'd never sell it. The issues are really just annoyances - most can be easily fixed, they just haven't been a priority. I had to find something AWD, and I just can't bring myself to park this on the street all the time. Please don't hesitate to ask questions or arrange a test drive. Located in Fort Collins, CO. Thanks!
PLEASE NOTE: ROOF RACK IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION. It will fit another car we have but I would sell it for $300 on top of the final auction price if you really want it. It was custom fitted to this car.
