1993 BMW 5-Series Touring Wagon Additional Info:

For sale is a custom built 1993 BMW 525i Touring Wagon with an M3 S52 engine and matching 5 Speed transmission from a manual E34.

This is a fanatic drivers car with room to haul. The S52 produces 240 hp powered via a completely rebuilt, resealed, and fresh VNOS 3.2L M3 engine converted to ODBI. The extra 60 hp the S52 produces over the stock 525i makes a huge difference. The engine is from a 1998 M3 that had approx. 130k on it when pulled.

The list of new parts includes a brand newly rebuild engine, A/C compressor still under warranty delivering ice cold A/C, power steering, new tires all around with less than 1,000 miles on them, fuel pump, battery, clutch kit, slave cylinder, master cylinder, o2 sensors, Bosch brakes all around, wheel stud conversion all around, rear hatch struts, and hood struts.

The entire drive train on the Touring including the transmission, driveshaft and diff come from a manual E34 that have been cleaned and resealed. The diff is an LSD 3.23 and is the perfect ratio for curvy roads and on highway driving. The transmission shifts perfect and there are no grinds at all through the gears.

Common problems on E34’s that have been addressed are both seats have been rebuild and all functions work, A/C works perfect, the sunroof tracks have been cleaned and rebuilt making the panoramic roof work perfect. The sunroof has four settings: open front sunroof, open rear sunroof over passengers, or a combination of both, and tilted front. Also the trip/range computer work as they should.

The lip and rims on the car are from an E34 540i and the car is tinted all around. The car also has a clean CA title and has not been in an accident.

The flaws of the car include the rear glass hatch does not open because the wire to it is visually frayed by the hatch. However the rear hatch opens fine. It is just the glass that does not open. There are several small dings around the car as expected for the age that I have tried to highlight in the pictures. The paint is all original and shines nice.

This touring does no leak oil, power steering fluid, etc and has just undergone heavy maintenance ready to be passed on to the next owner. I am only aware of several S52 E34 Tourings in the US so this is a rare bird.
