1976 BMW 2002 Additional Info:

Selling my 1976 BMW 2002 because I'm moving to Florida. I've had it since 2008, most of those years it was in a good storage facility and I'd take it out to drive for the summer.
Car RUNS AND DRIVES. 4-spd manual. Shifts smoothly, accelerates nicely, no strange noises as it goes down the road.
The main issue with this car is electrical. This is because mice got behind the dash the first year I had it in storage. They chewed through some wires behind the dash. That caused me to move it to a better storage facility. The result is it has electrical issues; some of the lights, turn signals, tachometer, electrically powered instrument gauges, and gas gauge don't work.
Cosmetically it is in great shape the paint looks awesome when the car is detailed. Since I parked it some tree sap has gotten on the left rear trunk lid. I started removing it but it is a tedious time consuming job. Otherwise the paint is in good condition.
The only major rust spot is the trunk pan directly under the spare tire. Some surface rust is starting in a few places under the car like the jacking points on the rocker panels, but in most other places the undercoating is intact.
The interior is in OK shape. The front seats are perfect and are adjustable in many different ways. The tan vinyl on the door panels isn't ripped but looks a little dirty, and carpet could definitely stand to be replaced. The sunroof doesn't open, it is stuck in the closed position.
I just rebuilt the carburetor, though I'm not sure how to tune it properly. It looks like it could use a new valvecover gasket. The tires are old and have dry rot, so it will need to be trailered long distances. I wouldn't drive it very far or fast on the old tires. Comes with a box of spare parts containing: more brake light housings, turn signal housings, original steering wheel, leather bra for the front of the car, and a few more accessories.
This is a solid car and with some love it could be restored to a very nice specimen.I am willing to entertain reasonable offers.
