1988 Bentley EIGHT Additional Info:

Here is my 1988 Bentley model Eight. Bright Tudor Red over Tan leather. The Bentley Eight was a limited production car, produced between 1984 and 1992. Entire total production for the 8 year production span was only 1736 cars, making this one of the rarest production Bentley Saloons built. The main difference between the Eight and the more common Mulsanne and Turbo R models is the vintage looking Bentley wire mesh grill, where the other models had the vertical slats in the grill. The wire mesh grill is now on most new Bentley models, making this car look newer than it is. Nobody believes this is a 1988 model car and it attracts plenty of attention on the road. I have owned this car for about 4 years. The car is in very good condition. The body looks very nice. There are a few minor rust areas below the rear bumper on the lower side areas where the bumper wraps around and an area on one rear lower wheel well. The area behind the rear bumper is solid as are the floors and rockers. The rear bumper is bent on one side. The paint is shiny and of high quality. The interior is also very good. The driver seat leather was redone. The passenger front seat bottom needs to be redone. The rest of the leather is original and still in good condition. The carpets and headliner are fine. The wood dash is very nice. The clear coat on the wood on top of the doors is peeling off although the wood is fine. The tools and books are in the trunk. The engine and trans are in excellent condition. The car starts right up every time cold or hot and runs beautiful. You can not hear the engine when driving the car. It has expensive Vogue white and gold tires which are fairly new. The accumulators for the suspension were replaced a few years ago at a cost of 1100. The power steering has a leak. When it's filled, the steering works fine. As the fluid leaks, the steering becomes tight and the brake pedal also becomes soft so there must be a connection between the two. The brakes still stop the car when the fluid is low. You can get in and drive the car anywhere. I did not bring the car in to the dealer to have the leak checked. It's been like this for about a year. Aside from this leak, the mechanics on the car are excellent as I stated. I covered everything I can about the car. The reserve is low so the high bidder will win the car. This is a very nice looking driver quality Bentley in need of a little attention. The car took a top first place award at a Rolls Royce/Bentley meet in 2006 and I have at least 15 trophies and plaques from different car shows I have taken the car to over the last few years. Some TLC and she will be ready to show again. Note, it takes time and cost money to hold an Ebay auction so serious ready to buy bidders please. I have 100% positive feedback since I first signed up on Ebay 15 years ago which says alot. I tell it like it is. If you bid and win, you own the car. If you have any questions, or, if you would like to come inspect the car for yourself before you bid, just let me know. If anyone would like to see more photos of any area on the Bentley including under the car, I will send more photos. Thank you.
