1959 Austin Healey 3000 BN7 Additional Info:

You are looking at a very rare1959 Austin Healey MKI BN7 (factory 2 seater) hill climb race car. This car was a central Pennsylvania vehicle basically all of its life and always garage kept. We acquired the Healey after buying the owners entire car collection, this one being his personal pride and joy. We have not done anything to this beauty but move it from his place to ours, a true time capsule.
This car has so much history we dont even know where to start....
Original owner of the car began racing this car from day one at a lot of the hill climbing events such as Duryea, Rose Valley, Giants Dispair, Weatherly, Hershey plus many more (all of which are in the PA HILLCLIMB asso. PHA)
Car was then Purchased by Owner we acquired it from back in mid to early 60's and was raced with very much success at the same places for many years to follow.
Link below shows the Fleetwood races back in 1969 little blurry but you can make it out.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AkWNewTaP0 (2:58-3:03 and then 15:58-16:08) are all the exact times you can see the Healey with previous owner racing it.
Specs on current car: - race motor built out of an original BN7 block motor number HBN7/L08826 - Iskenderian street race" camshaft kit - factory competition shock valves - Larger diamete SU Carbs - polished (SUH08) - 4.8:1 differential out of a Healey 100 - lower ratio 4 speed trans - factory competition shock valvesplus many more options we did not list.
This car was put away a few days after his last race, it ran and was driven home put in his garage and has not been started since almost 40 years ago.
There is a large amount of factory original parts that will go with this car which includes originalblock (we believe, not guaranteed), convertible top plus windows (all metal is good, clothe will need replaced), another rear, a factory head, valve cover, transmission, tachs, shifters plus much much more almost a full truck load.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of racing history in almost untouched condition. Car has been sitting for 40 years like previously stated and is not currently running so anything is to be expected but will most likely not take much besides a decent flush and new fluids to most likely get it back to a running vehicle as it was when it was put away. Body is good for the age of the car and the racing history that it had, but again was mainly a race car and then parked so we suggest proper inspections. gladly send more pics if needed.
Car is currently sitting in a showroom in Lancaster Pa and has been all over instagram with nothing but praises .... Chris Jacobs (tv host of barret jackson, overhaulin, velocity)instagram account has another nice pic of it.
wiki:

The Austin-Healey 3000 was announced on 1 July 1959 with a 3-litreBMC C-Series engineto replace the smaller 2.6-litre engine of the100-6and disc brakes for its front wheels. The manufacturers claimed it would reach 60mph in 11 seconds and 100mph in 31 seconds.

Other changes were minor compared to those between the original 100and the 100-6. The wheelbase and body were unchanged as were the body-styles, a 2+2 or BT7 and a two-seater BN7.

Weather protection remained minimal, a folding plastic roof on a light demountable frame and above the doors detachable side screens holding sliding perspex panels. Wire wheels, overdrive gearbox, laminated windscreen, heater, adjustable steering column, detachable hard top for the 2+2, and two-tone paint were available as options.

13,650 Mark Is were made: 2,825 BN7 open two-seaters, and 10,825 BT7 2+2s

We do have an early PA title in hand but will be selling mileage Exempt due to the age of the vehicle.
Previous owner kept the certified letter from British Motor Industry describing the original build since it meant so much to him, so that will not go with the car but new owner can easily apply for it and will receive same paper work in they're name.
