1959 Austin Healey Sprite Additional Info:

1959 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite with major performance upgrades. The engine is a 1275cc Midget engine. Transmission is from a 72 Midget. Car has Hepolite pistons, an Isky MM22 cam shaft with Isky valves, springs, rockers and push rods. The carburetor is a Weber 45DCOE. It has an Allison "Opto-breakerless" ignition system. Brakes are disk front and drum rear with metallic linings. The rear sway bar is an Addco model with a stock BMC sway bar in the front. Car has adjustable shock absorbers. It has an electric fuel pump with an emergency power shutoff switch. I have the side curtains and top. I have installed seat belts in the car. It also has 4 new tires. It even has a positive ground radio.
The car has been maintained by one mechanic since I purchased it and I can supply all the maintenance records. I am selling the car because I want to buy another one and I can't buy the new car until I sell the Sprite.
The Haggerty value for a non upgraded 59 sprite is $15,100 in good condition. This one has major performance upgrades. 1275cc engines currently cost $3000 or more. Weber carburetors cost more than $400. Performance cam shafts cost $570 from Moss Motors.
Car has red. Body is rust free. Car is located in Las Vegas NV.
Mileage is listed as zero as the odometer does not work and I do not know what the mileage is.
Vehicle is used and is sold as is and where is. Buyer isresponsiblefor all shipping costs and is also responsible for all possible damages incurred during shipping once the vehicle is transferred from the owner to the buyer. You are encouraged to come to Las Vegas to inspect the vehicle or to have someone here inspect the vehicle. I can also put you in touch with my mechanic who has maintained all of my vehicles for 30+ years and has maintained the Sprite since I bought it.
I do not accept payment via PayPal because there are too many opportunities for scams to occur. I prefer that payment for the vehicle and transfer of the vehicle to the buyer be made through escrow.com which is the escrow service recommended by eBay. Seller will pay all escrow fees.
Escrow will be with the following terms which will protect both buyer and seller -
  • Both parties (buyer and seller) agree to use Escrow.com.

  • The buyer sends payment to Escrow.com rather than directly to the seller. Payment to be made by a mutually agreed method but not by PayPal.

  • Escrow.com tracks the shipment of the item.

  • The buyer inspects the item and lets Escrow.com know whether they accept it or not.

  • If the item is accepted(or the inspection period runs out), the funds are paid to the seller by check.

  • If the item is not accepted, the buyer must return the item to the seller in the condition that it was when it was shipped. In this case, the buyer is required to pay the return shipping fee and the escrow fee. This rule minimizes casual returns. Payment, minus the escrow fees, is then returned to the buyer. If there are any damages caused by the return shipping company, buyer is responsible for these damages which will be deducted from the monies held by the escrow.com.
