1956 Austin Healey 100 M Additional Info:

Welcome to all you Austin Healey collectors and afficionados.
I recently acquired this British classic Austin Healey 100 from the son of the most recent owner. His father recently passed away, and had this stored in his basement for the last 17 years, anticipating completing the restoration that the previous owner had started sometime between 1978 and 1999.
Among a few things, I am also a handyman, and purchased the car as a favor for the son after doing some work on his deceased father's condo, as this was one of many things he needed to clear out. I am a car guy, so I was glad to help him out, but must admit I know very little about Austin Healeys. From the research I have done this appears to be BN2 "M" version.
From what the son shared with me, his father purchased the car around 1999, and removed the sliding glass door to the walk out basement of his condo and brought the car in, which is where the car sat for the next 17 years. It was just before his demise that he moved the car into his garage, which is where I found it. When he moved the car he also had new tires installed and new tubes put in.
His intent was to finish the restoration, but as you can see, that never happened. The car is complete(from what I was told and what I can see), meaning that all of the gauges, interior parts, lights, windshield frame, etc. appear to all be there. Lots of replacement metal panels ready to install. I have boxes of parts that I never photographed, but 100% of everything I received will be passed along to the new owner.
As some of the photos show, the car needs a significant amount of work to be on the road again, but the "bones" of the car are good. It is said to have had the engine (inline 4 cylinder), transmission (records indicate it is the BN2 with overdrive), suspension and brakes all rebuilt (again, sometime between 1978 & 1999), and from the looks of it I would say that is accurate. There is an envelope that has a lot of receipts for work and parts, but I have not poured through all of them.
The body is aluminum, while the fenders, doors, hood and trunk lids are all steel. Original seats, side windows/frames, top and boot included, along with a spare transmission. I am sure there is much more, but I do not have time to inventory every single part.
I have more photos on google drive, but eBay does not allow me to put the URL link in this listing, so contact me through the eBay messaging service and I will send that to you.
If the buyer wishes, I'll sell the flatbed trailer the car is sitting on (18', tandem axle, no brakes, good frame, wood and tires, but not a pretty thing) for an additional $1,800 above and beyond final bid for the car.
I do not have room to store the car, so this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION - HIGHEST BIDDER WINS!
NO TITLE! The title from the deceased previous owner has not been found, so the car will include a bill of sale only. NO TITLE! If the title is found (condo is still being cleaned out), then the title will go with the car to the new owner, but again, at this point, consider the car either for parts or know that you'll have to make work of getting a title from your DMV. eBay listing forces something to be put in for title, so I chose rebuilt. NO TITLE!
TERMS: Unless previous arrangements are made, the buyer is to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of auction ending. While I prefer the balance to be paid in CASH, I will accept guaranteed funds, but the car will not be released until all funds are verified and received in full. I will sell the car to anyone in the world, but it is the buyers responsibility to arrange for and pay for all shipping. I will not deliver the car - I am way too busy - pick up only.
