1969 AMC Javelin SST Additional Info:

1969AMC Javelin 343V8 Go-Pak

Upfor sale is my beautiful AMC Javelin SST. It is not your average Javelin, as it has tons of factory options that I would bet you’ll never find elsewhere, many of which are extremely rare. I’ve owned it for about 13 years. It was already in great shape when I found it and I’ve done nothing but improve it since then.Under my care, it’s always been garaged and has never spent a night outside, never spent a full day in the sun, and never sat out or been driven in the rain.

Body…

I had it painted this cool color about ten years ago. At the time is was also painted blue, but it seemed kind of blah to me. Now I love the metallic color. There are no dents or rust anywhere that I’ve found. There is minor pitting on some of the chrome. I also replaced the vinyl top in black because the original blue top color was not to my liking.Naturally, the SST stripes are new also. In addition the hood scoops are original (not repro).

Drive train…

The engine and trans have been rebuilt about ten thousand miles ago. I’ve only driven the car about two thousand miles(within thirteen years), at the most, since I’ve owned it. I’ve also installed an electric fuel pump. Classic cars typically have mechanical fuel pumps that take a while to build pressure. With this electrical fuel pump it starts quickly, even when it’s been sitting. Less stress on the starter.

Suspension…

The whole front end was rebuilt before I owned it with neoprene bushings, including the trunions. All in good condition now. I also noticed the rear leaf springs were weak. I found a company in Ohio that made rear leaf springs custom, according to factory specs. I went for it. They’re on the car now. Really nice. Much better ride.

I installed spacers that increase the wheel width by a couple inches on each side. That makes the car handle much better.

New Dunlop GT Qualifier Raised White Letter Tires.

Interior…

It’s near perfect and gorgeous. Very nice carpet, door panels, headliner, dash, seats, etc. The bucket seats have been redone, with quality blue cloth in the seat bottom and back and white vinyl elsewhere. Beautiful. Originally, it was all vinyl and not very comfortable. It is very comfortable now, especially on hot days. The carpet is near new.

It’s got a factory 8track and AM radio.Very rare. It worked but not well when I bought it. I had JD Restorations in Pomoma. CA rebuild it from scratch and it works perfectly now. That wasn’t cheap but worth it. Several 8track tapes go with the car, Ringo, ELO, Chicago, Eagles and others. A real pleaser at car shows.

Twice I went to a Farmer Boys car show. The first time I won First in Class Award. The second time I won 1stplace overall. Honestly, I think there were nicer cars than mine the last time, but clean Javelins are getting so rare, I think they just loved seeing it.

Understand, this is not a “trailer queen” or a concourse car. It’s not perfect. But it’s a very, very nice example of a clean, rare, high option 1969 AMC Javelin. Whoever gets it will certainly be very proud to own it.

I don’t want to spend every day talking about it on the phone, especially with those that aren’t serious buyers, so email me (gregkoenig11@gmail.com)if interested and provide me with your phone number and I will try to call or email you promptly. Payment terms: $500 deposit due via PayPal or bank wire transfer on or before close of auction. Balance due on or before 7 days from close of auction. There are many classic car transporters out there, both locally, nationally and for overseas shipping, but I’m not familiar with them all, so the buyer should be responsible for choosing one. Just do a simple search on the internet and look for reviews. If there is anything I can do to help with the logistics of shipping, I’m willing. Please feel free to ask.

Bottom line, if you’re the kind of person that would like to own a clean, high option 1969 Javelin…then this is the clean, high option 1969 Javelin you would like to own.

Thank you for your interest in this fine classic automobile. Greg
