As many of you Car Guys and Gals already know, the Classic Station Wagon Market is getting hotter and hotter every day and are being gobbled up by Collectors due to the fact that 10 years ago the market barely existed and the number of them that were not junked and recycled are now very high on their radar.
If you were around and can still remember the year 1958, Life in America was a little different. The United States was in the midst of a recession. The average price of a house was $12,500.00, average wages were $4600.00 per Year and gas was a whopping 25 Cents a Gallon. People became very conservative but still wanted to enjoy all the natural resources that America offered. Most average folks didn't fly by plane and most red blooded American's took the whole family on driving vacations and what better way to travel than a full size station wagon. They flooded every national park from coast to coast and actually accounted for half of Ramblers production that year.
