1985 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Convertible 2-Door Additional Info:

Purchased last May from a first owner who saved all receipts and took good care of the car. It was driven regularly until 2013. First thing I did was have a reputable garage (Vintage Car Solutions, in Houston, TX) replace anything that could have deteriorated: belts, hoses, fluids, etc. Since then, I dropped it off every month or so to overhaul or repair anything I felt could use it. Replaced clutch fork, new flywheel sensor, new clutch master cylinder, clave cylinder, snap ring. Also new brake master cylinder, trunk lock and cable (still needs a new spring - must manually push back when closing trunk), cam cover gasket, rear plug - checked valve lash, cam timing, chain tension, resealed VVT plunger, adjusted valve lash on #3 exhaust valve, R&R of exhaust, set true top-dead-center of motor, adjust crankshaft pointer, adjust timing of both cams to factory settings.

Vintage Car Solutions is the only garage worked on this car since I had it. They are renowned for their expertise in Alfa Romeos.

Also new upholstery (leather and faux for seats) carpet behind seats ($2,100)

Total invested by me since purchase: $10,100. I have all receipts, as well as receipts of previous owner.

This car runs great, has a new sound system (Alpine CDE -102), the top was replaced a few years ago and is in excellent shape. Good Michelin tires. I drive it daily.

The exterior condition is excellent and original. A small dent on one side (about as deep as a spoon), some minor scratches, and the left rear bumper got hit some time ago and is slightly out of tilt.

The speedometer works, but the odometer doesn't. Estimated mileage based on previous owner's statement 145,000. (Owner was, for decades, until he quit, the secretary of famous heart surgeon Dr. Cooley - I kinda trust her.)

The car is in Houston, TX.Deposit of US $500.00 within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment is required within 5 days of auction close. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick up or shipping. Depending on location, I might be able to deliver it by towing behind my motor home, buyer pays all expenses.

Feel free to email me for questions or more info.
